The Garden of Pua Mau Place at Keanahalululu Gulch

The gardens sit on the western slope of the Kohala Mountains above the Pacific Ocean. At present the gardens contain an expanding number of plants. The garden boasts impressive ocean and mountain views. Whether you are a "local" or a visitor, this is a wonderful experience that should not be missed!

Put on your good walking shoes and meander along mulched paths that wind through the gardens. Around each corner you will
encounter a new scene of color and textures of the plants and
trees. Views are spectacular!

Bring a lunch and sit at the picnic tables under the trees, relax, enjoy, explore. Our plants are marked, and we provide a booklet for a self-guided tour.

Pua Mau Garden is a great place to explore and keikis (kids) can spend the day roaming through the grounds, feeding the birds and without even knowing it, be awed by the wonders of nature.

We invite you to see the silver, bronze, gold, reds and pinks of the developing "hibiscus maze" with over 200 different varieties of hibiscus. See a variety of other blooming plants as you continue your walk.
